Primary Talent Partners is committed to promoting economic mobility through several workforce inclusion initiatives in the contingent labor and direct-hire programs we support.
Our organization is committed to promoting economic mobility by increasing opportunities for individuals from underrepresented communities. We focus on equipping these students with the skills and resources needed to excel in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and professional fields. Through mentorship and access to paid opportunities, we are helping students gain valuable experience to build meaningful careers in IT, engineering, professional, and science roles.
Equipping students in STEM and professional programs
Building a community of talented individuals with modern strategies
Connecting students with paid options to further their professional goals
Research indicates that inclusive workforce strategies are essential for addressing today’s pressing talent shortages. Despite the increasing demand in STEM and corporate sectors, 74% of hiring managers report difficulty finding qualified candidates. Meanwhile, students from underserved communities continue to represent an untapped talent pool, primarily due to systemic barriers rather than a lack of potential.
Only 21% of students from the lowest income quartile complete college, compared to 67% from the highest income quartile. This disparity significantly limits their access to high-demand careers and economic mobility. Companies that invest in programs offering paid internships, mentorship, and financial support bridge these opportunity gaps and gain access to high-potential talent that traditional recruitment pipelines often overlook.
Additionally, implementing inclusive strategies yields long-term benefits, such as higher employee retention, more substantial career advancement opportunities, and enhanced innovation. Organizations that commit to creating pathways for underrepresented talent help foster a more equitable future and position themselves as employers of choice in an increasingly competitive landscape.
The Pathways Scholars program was designed to increase the number of underrepresented candidates in STEM and professional fields by offering substantive financial and emotional support to students from undersserved communities.
We collaborate with industry partners to provide co-branded scholarships for students from underserved communities who are pursuing degrees in STEM and professional fields.
As these scholars progress through their college education, we provide mentorship and access to Pathways Associateships with our clients, which we fully fund.
To support their success, we also offer stipends for housing, professional attire, and more, ensuring they are well-equipped for their internships. Additionally, we provide our networks the opportunity to hire these scholars upon graduation at no additional cost.
As part of our commitment to supporting higher education and inclusion, we allocate a percentage of every billable hour to fund scholarships. These scholarships are offered to Pathways Scholars and provide them with a range of benefits, such as:
