It was an evening celebrating academic excellence, historical Black college and university (HBCU) talent, and remembering diversity's role in innovation. Primary Talent Partners (PTP) held their second annual diversIT Scholar Spring Banquet on April 19th, 2023. This event signifies the end of the academic year and allows the PTP team to recognize their newest cohort of students for their accomplishments.

The purpose of diversIT Scholars is to increase the number of minority candidates in science, technology, engineering or, mathematics (STEM)-related fields by offering substantive financial and emotional support to HBCU students enrolled in STEM programs. Historically, PTP has focused on students seeking degrees in STEM programs. Most recently, they have also extended their efforts to students seeking business degrees.

During the banquet, nine deserving students of Claflin University were awarded financial scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year. To symbolize their continued support of Claflin University, a $10,000 donation was also awarded to institutional general funds.

Next fall is approaching, and PTP is already excited to introduce new content to students, build relationships, and even incorporate client spotlights! They are delighted to continue the pursuit of diverse talent meaningfully and with such incredible students.
